This is a Smoking Cat comic strip that my good friend, Kim Roberson drew for me because I was too overworked this week to do a strip. It’s a funny one. Enjoy.
I’m reposting this because I had a problem with the first posting.
This prehistoric gag is based on an article I read a while back that suggested we (homo sapien) helped with the extinction of the Neanderthals by eating them.
This comes out of a true exchange. A friend of mine has a homeless friend whom she speaks to often over the phone. After one phone conversation I overheard, I remarked that I overheard her say I love you too to him. Her response inspired this comic strip.

Kaz grew up a working class brat who loved cartoons, monsters, punk rock and fine arts. He studied cartooning at NYC’s School of Visual Arts under art spiegelman and Harvey Kurtzman. In 1991 he created the Harvey-nominated strip Underworld which continues to be published in alternative weekly papers across the United States. Since 2001 he has written for Spongebob Squarepants, Cartoon Network’s Camp Lazlo and Disney’s Phineas & Ferb.
