Underworld School House

Well, it’s no mystery that I love wise-ass little children, Especially if they are dumb and funny. I was a bad student with poor reading and studying skills. During one vocabulary test I didn’t know the definition of any of the words. So, I just wrote funny definitions. I made it all up. I figured the teacher just had to pass me for being funny and creative. No dice. I got and F. But the teacher did write “very funny” on top of my paper. No studying and being funny finally paid off when I became a cartoonist. So, my advice is follow your heart and fuck school!

Nuzzle returns with his first 4-panel comic strip in a long time. There’s no reason for Nuzzle to ever straighten out his life as long as there’s laugh to be had. Nuzzle is probably my most consistently irresponsible character. It’s really bad that I make jokes about a heroin junkie – but in Underworld anything goes and Nuzzle will never go straight. Underworld is my TAZ: Temporary Autonomous Zone.

Underworld Morning

Here’s a classic-style 4-panel Underworld strip starring Snuff and Creep Rat. A completely silly and magical situation that’s a little rude the way I like it. This would work great animated – hell, it could even be done live action. If Buster Keaton had worked blue, and I was gag writing for him, I would have pitched this.

Kaz Bar

Here we return to one of my favorite types of comic strips. I save one-liners and bits and pieces that I’ve overheard at bars and on the streets and dump them in a bar situation. I get to have fun drawing different weird characters without the pressure of the set up and punch line comics format. I’ve already collected a bunch of one and two-liners for the next one.
