Since I’m on hiatus this week I thought I’d run a favorite strip of mine from 1996. My delusion of grandeur here manifests itself into a fantasy of my own assassination. Snuff believes he will finally be free of my ultimate authority once I’m gone. Creep Rat understands that his life will cease to be. You’ll notice that I was drawing Creep Rat a lot smaller back then. And the armored car that I’m riding in was modeled on Smokey Stover’s two-wheeled fire engine.

Jokes like this have been made about blood sucking before. Sergio Aragones in Mad had a great strip back in the 70’s about a vampire sucking a hippy’s blood and tripping. And the FX TV show version of What We Do in the Shadows did this idea three weeks ago. My version is more deadly
